Football Recap: Fredericktown Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Fredericktown dropped to 8-2 on Friday, ending the team's five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 34-0 loss at the hands of the Centerburg Trojans. Having soared to a lofty 33 points in the game before, the Freddies' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Blake Sipes threw for 32 yards on four of nine attempts. On the ground, Gavin Toombs rushed for 77 yards.

As for Centerburg, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37.5 points.

Centerburg was led to victory by Blane Ball and Miles Marshall. Ball rushed for 135 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries, while Marshall rushed for 123 yards and a pair of scores on only 14 carries. What's more, Ball racked up 76 passing yards, the most he's had since back in November of 2024.

Coming up, Fredericktown will challenge Fairview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last. Centerburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
