Softball Recap: Strasburg Falls to Elizabeth in First Game of Season

Strasburg unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 12-0 to the Elizabeth Cardinals on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 5-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Strasburg saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madi Olsen, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Coming up, Strasburg will venture away from home to take on Fort Lupton at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Elizabeth, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Pueblo Centennial at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
