Volleyball Recap: St. John's Victorious

St. John's tournament run continued when they took on Lake Creek on Friday. The Mavericks came out on top against the Lions by a score of 2-0.

St. John's can attribute much of their success to Olivia Landahl, who had 15 assists and two aces. Landahl has been hot, having posted 15 or more assists the last eight times she's played.

Despite the defeat, Lake Creek saw an underclassman step up: freshman Sutton Breck Tessier had six digs and two aces.

St. John's victory bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Lake Creek, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-13.

St. John's wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Friendswood on the 30th. As for Lake Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Eagle Mountain on the 30th.
