Soccer Game Preview: Cartersville vs. Model

The Cartersville Hurricanes will take on the Model Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Cartersville is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Woodland on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. Cartersville have struggled against Woodland recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Model had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.7 goals) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against Bremen.

Cartersville's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Model, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.

Everything went Cartersville's way against Model in their previous matchup back in February of 2017, as Cartersville made off with a 10-2 victory. In that match, Cartersville amassed a halftime lead of 6-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
