Soccer Recap: South Gwinnett Falls Short of Pebblebrook in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact South Gwinnett can now relate to. While the 3-3 score might suggest a draw, it was the Pebblebrook Falcons who were credited with the win on Wednesday. The Pebblebrook Falcons got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the South Gwinnett Comets' three. While losing is never fun, South Gwinnett can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 107th, while Pebblebrook are ranked 28th).

South Gwinnett's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-10-1. As for Pebblebrook, they pushed their record up to 14-4-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

As of now, neither South Gwinnett nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
