It's playoff time, and Calhoun had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their defense stepped up to hand the Long County Blue Tide a 3-0 shutout on Friday. Considering Calhoun have won six games by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Jesus Bautista, who's played more minutes than anyone else on the Calhoun squad sat out for Friday's matchup. With Bautista sidelined, Calhoun had to make some changes to the lineup. Aiden Delgado played for 80 minutes having averaged 48 this season and David Vera got 80 vs. an average of 43.8. The pair took full advantage of the opportunity: Delgado scored a goal, while he put up one assist.

Calhoun now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Long County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-9.

Looking ahead, Calhoun will be playing in front of their home fans against Johnson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Long County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
