Basketball Recap: Athens Triumphs

Athens won the last time they faced North Penn-Liberty and things went their way on Friday too. The Wildcats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 44-41 win over the Mountie.

When it comes to explaining why North Penn-Liberty lost, don't look at Haley Litzelman. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 26 points and 19 boards. Victoria McTish was another key player, putting up nine points.

Athens' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for North Penn-Liberty, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.
