Basketball Game Preview: Bishop O'Connell Knights vs. Gonzaga Eagles

Bishop O'Connell is 2-8 against Gonzaga since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Knights will challenge the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Bishop O'Connell knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Gonzaga likes a good challenge.

On Saturday, Bishop O'Connell beat The St. James Performance Academy 75-63.

Meanwhile, Gonzaga ended up a good deal behind St. John's on Friday and lost 67-53. The loss put an end to the Eagles' undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Gonzaga fell to 2-1. As for Bishop O'Connell, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Bishop O'Connell was dealt a bruising 72-36 defeat at the hands of Gonzaga in their previous matchup back in February. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Knights were down 37-14.
