Skutt Catholic never got on the board in their matchup on Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Northwest on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Vikings. This was payback for the SkyHawks, who suffered a 19-6 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Kira Stroh, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Kaycie Dai was another key player, going 1-for-3 with four RBI.

The win got Skutt Catholic back to even at 1-1. As for Northwest, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Looking ahead, Skutt Catholic will challenge Blair at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bears' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the SkyHawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Northwest, they will square off against St. Cecilia at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
