Softball Recap: Valdosta Comes Up Short

Valdosta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat. They came up short against Richmond Hill, falling 12-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Richmond Hill this season, with their most recent loss being a 13-5 defeat on Thursday.

Valdosta's loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Richmond Hill, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valdosta will square off against Lanier County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Richmond Hill, they will challenge Camden County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
