Monticello and Charlottesville are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Mustangs will take on the Black Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Monticello and four for Charlottesville.

On Friday, Monticello came up short against Fluvanna County and fell 30-23.

Meanwhile, Charlottesville was beaten by Western Albemarle 44-12 on Friday.

Charlottesville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Monticello, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Everything came up roses for Monticello against Charlottesville when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 53-0 win. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Black Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
