Baseball Recap: Pickens Snags 19th Win in Last 21 Games

Pickens had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Troup County Tigers 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Dragons have posted since April 11th.

Pickens is on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 21 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 32-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Troup County, their loss ended a 13-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 29-8.
