Soccer Game Preview: Dos Pueblos vs. Ventura

The Dos Pueblos Chargers will take on the Ventura Cougars at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Dos Pueblos' last seven matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Ventura will have to contend with a Dos Pueblos squad hungry for a win, something the team hasn't seen since December 28. Dos Pueblos and Santa Barbara finished up their contest with a 2-2 draw on Friday. That draw made it five straight for the Chargers.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Ventura's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Buena by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 543rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 208th).

With that draw, Dos Pueblos' record moves to 5-2-7. As for Ventura, they now have a losing record at 5-6-3.
