Soccer Recap: Ridgeview Comes Up Short

Ridgeview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 5-2 to the Bakersfield Christian Eagles. While losing is never fun, Ridgeview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 375th, while Bakersfield Christian are ranked 141st).

Ridgeview's loss dropped their record down to 10-7-2. As for Bakersfield Christian, they pushed their record up to 9-3-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridgeview will host Independence at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bakersfield Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tehachapi at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
