Recap: Sage Creek Bobcats vs. Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns
The Sage Creek Bobcats were the 47-32 winner over the Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Sage Creek was beaten by Rancho Buena Vista 60-31 on Tuesday. Sage Creek has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Addison Femrite and Harmony Lawler certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Femrite scored 10 points, while Lawler scored 7 points along with 10 rebounds.
Camille Dake was her usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with 3 steals for Rancho Buena Vista. That makes it three consecutive games in which Dake has scored at least 25% of Rancho Buena Vista's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Salzler, who scored 9 points along with 5 assists and 5 steals.
Sage Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Rancho Buena Vista, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.
Sage Creek will look to defend their home court on Friday against Mira Mesa at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Mira Mesa focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Monday. As for Rancho Buena Vista, they will head out on the road to face off against Steele Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
