Volleyball Recap: Ashe County Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Ashe County had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Foard Tigers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Huskies also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2023.

Ashe County never let Foard on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-15, 28-26.

Ashe County found their leader in sophomore Kinzley Blevins, who had 11 digs and six aces. Blevins is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last eight games she's played.

Ashe County was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They are 20-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

Ashe County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season. As for Foard, their loss ended a six-match streak of away wins and brought them to 14-11.

Coming up, Ashe County will challenge Maiden at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Foard does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
