            Basketball Recap: Helix Highlanders vs. Grossmont Foothillers        
        
		
        
        
            Helix was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight  defeat. They received a  blow  as they fell  45-29 to the Grossmont Foothillers. While losing is never fun, the Highlanders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings  (they are ranked 503rd, while the Foothillers are ranked 106th).
 When it comes to explaining why Helix lost, don't look at  Jordyn McMillan. Despite the final result, she  dropped  a double-double with 15  points and 11  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Maylana Mantoux, who  posted  no points along with eight  boards and three  blocks.
 Grossmont found their leader in sophomore  Aakash Price, who  dropped  a double-double with 20  points and 11  rebounds. Price is  crushing it when it comes to  boards: she's   pulled down at least nine every time she's  taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was  Addison Clark, who  earned eight points.
Helix's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Grossmont, the  victory was  the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-3.
 Helix wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  game,  a  54-29  win against Granite Hills on the 7th. As for Grossmont, they have also  already played their next matchup,  a  62-17  victory against Steele Canyon on the 7th.
