Football Recap: Kingsland Has No Trouble Against Wabasha-Kellogg

Kingsland hadn't done well against Wabasha-Kellogg recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Knights enjoyed a cozy 42-26 win over the Falcons. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Knights considering their eight-point performance the contest before.

Kaaleem Reiland was his usual excellent self, rushing for 214 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.6 yards per carry, and also throwing for 66 yards and one TD. What's more, he racked up 121.3 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Bently Wiersma, who rushed for 104 yards and one score on only seven carries.

Kingsland's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Wabasha-Kellogg, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Kingsland will head out to face off against Mabel-Canton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wabasha-Kellogg, they will square off against Grand Meadow at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will be up against the Superlarks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
