Basketball Recap: Coronado Falls Despite Big Games from Roberto Lopez and Andre Martinez

Coronado has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 57-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Franklin Cougars on Tuesday. The Thunderbirds were probably out for revenge after losing 54-43 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Coronado had strong showings from Andre Martinez, who posted ten points, and Roberto Lopez, who earned 11 points.

Coronado's defeat dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Franklin, their victory bumped their record up to 13-11.

Coronado has already played their next game, a 45-43 loss against Pebble Hills on the 17th. As for Franklin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 44-26 defeat against Montwood on the 17th.
