Basketball Game Preview: Buckingham Charter Knights vs. Valley Christian Lions

Buckingham Charter is 0-10 against Valley Christian since January of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Buckingham Charter Knights will be playing at home against the Valley Christian Lions at 6:00 p.m. Buckingham Charter's defense has only allowed 26.8 points per game this season, so Valley Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Buckingham Charter is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Monday. They had to suffer through a 43-5 loss at the hands of Sacramento Waldorf. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-2.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Valley Christian). They really took it to Elite for the full four quarters, racking up an 80-19 victory. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 22 points or more this season.

Valley Christian is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 40.4 points. As for Buckingham Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Buckingham Charter took a serious blow against Valley Christian when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 48-12. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Buckingham Charter was down 38-4.
