Baseball Game Preview: Ware Indians vs. Palmer Panthers

Ware has gone a perfect 10-0 against Palmer recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Ware is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Friday just wasn't the day for Ware's offense. They fell just short of Drury by a score of 1-0 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Palmer was able to grind out a solid victory over McCann Tech on Friday, taking the game 5-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Sebastian Mayberry spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Theo Haley was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Ware's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Palmer, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Ware has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Palmer struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Ware came out on top in a nail-biter against Palmer in their previous matchup two weeks ago, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
