Basketball Recap: Norte Vista Takes a Loss

Norte Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They took a blow against the Poly Bears, falling 68-11. The Braves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-1.

Poly was led to victory by Penelope McIntosh and Abby Folsom. McIntosh posted 16 points, while Folsom earned 16 points. The dominant performance gave McIntosh a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Juliet Zaragoza, who put up eight points.

Norte Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Poly, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Norte Vista will face off against Rubidoux at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Norte Vista is facing Rubidoux at the right time seeing as Rubidoux is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Poly, they will challenge Valley View at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
