Football Recap: Hays' Run of Three Straight Wins Now Over + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hays can now relate to. They took a 29-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Great Bend Panthers on Friday. The Indians gained 86 more yards on the day, but it was the Panthers that made the best use of them.

Jaxon Prediger threw for 92 yards and two TDs. Jarek Purdy was his top target, picking up 77 receiving yards and one touchdown. On the ground, Corbin Giebler rushed for 200 yards.

Daxton Minton continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Great Bend, throwing for 155 yards and three TDs while completing 72.2% of his passes, and also rushing for 73 yards. 84 of Minton's passing yards were hauled in by Ian Premer, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

The defeat snapped Hays' winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-3 record. As for Great Bend, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Hays does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Great Bend, they will take on Salina Central on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Mustangs have now posted at least 31 points in their last four contests.
