Volleyball Recap: Westland Comes Up Short

Westland lost against Big Walnut back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cougars came up short against the Golden Eagles, falling 3-0. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-6, 25-10.

Kylie Murphy paced Westland's offense, picking up three kills. Murphy got some help from Audrey Alves and her five assists.

Westland's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Big Walnut, their win bumped their record up to 16-5.

Coming up, Westland will host Walnut Ridge at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Big Walnut, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Bloom-Carroll on the 11th.
