La Serna will have to contain Kassandra Mendoza as she made an impact in Whittier's last game. She posted six points and three steals. Mendoza has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played.

La Serna's win bumped their record up to 16-9. As for Whittier, their loss dropped their record down to 8-14.
