Syracuse scored the most runs they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Malcolm Clippers by a score of 19-18. Even though they lost, the Rockets' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Jade Campbell led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-5 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Kathleen Donovan, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Syracuse has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-21 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Malcolm, their victory bumped their record up to 14-12.

Syracuse does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Malcolm, they have already played their next game, a 14-13 defeat against Twin River on the 6th.
