Basketball Game Preview: Del Mar Dons vs. Hill Falcons

The Del Mar Dons will take on the Hill Falcons in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Saturday, Del Mar ended up a good deal behind Saratoga and lost 41-27.

Despite the defeat, Del Mar got top-tier performance from Zoey Hinkle, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. The contest was Hinkle's third in a row with at least ten points. Mailey Japlit was another key player, putting up four points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Even though they lost, Del Mar smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 21 offensive rebounds in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Hill beat MacDonald 33-22 on Friday.

The victory got Hill back to even at 3-3. As for Del Mar, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 3-3.

Del Mar strolled past Hill in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 41-26. Will Del Mar repeat their success, or does Hill have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
