Preview: El Camino Wildcats vs. West Hills Wolf Pack
Having just played yesterday, the El Camino Wildcats will jump right back in to play the West Hills Wolf Pack at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
El Camino can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They walked away with a 60-48 victory over Maranatha Christian.
El Camino's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Meleiah Jones, who scored 17 points. That's the first time this season that Jones scored 15 or more points. Alana Hoskins was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with nine rebounds and seven steals.
West Hills has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 28 points or more this season. They blew past Artesia, posting a 50-14 victory at home. The win was some much needed relief for West Hills as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
El Camino's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-9. As for West Hills, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.
Everything came up roses for El Camino against West Hills in their previous matchup back in April of 2021 as the team secured a 84-17 win. Does El Camino have another victory up their sleeve, or will West Hills turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
