Basketball Recap: Half Moon Bay's Run of Four Straight Victories Now Over

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Half Moon Bay can now relate to. They took a 48-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Whitney Wildcats on Saturday. The Cougars' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Half Moon Bay lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Zoey Lemoge, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 17 rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in boards. Delaney Dorwin was another key player, putting up ten points and four steals.

Half Moon Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 23-8. As for Whitney, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-9 record this season.
