Meadowbrook Christian will be home for the holidays to greet the North Penn-Liberty Mountie at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Meadowbrook Christian will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Meadowbrook Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 20 points or more this season. They blew past Belleville Mennonite 48-22. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Meadowbrook Christian has managed all season.
Kailey Devlin and Madalyn Fasnacht were among the main playmakers for Meadowbrook Christian as the former scored 13 points along with five rebounds and five steals and the latter scored 24 points along with three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Devlin has scored at least 25% of Meadowbrook Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Alayna Smith, who scored four points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, the third road match was the charm for North Penn-Liberty, as they earned their first road win of the season. They walked away with a 37-28 win over Cowanesque Valley on Friday.
Meadowbrook Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for North Penn-Liberty, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-2.
Meadowbrook Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over North Penn-Liberty in their previous matchup back in February, winning 37-25. Will Meadowbrook Christian repeat their success, or does North Penn-Liberty have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
