Basketball Game Preview: Bucktail Bucks vs. Neumann Regional Academy Golden Knights

Bucktail is 2-8 against Neumann Regional Academy since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Bucktail Bucks will look to defend their home court against the Neumann Regional Academy Golden Knights at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 48-13, which was the final score in Bucktail's tilt against Muncy on Monday. The Bucks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Neumann Regional Academy lost to Muncy at home by a 49-31 margin on Tuesday. The Golden Knights were down 43-17 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Bucktail will have to keep a close watch on Kallee Johnson and Niyah Tutler, a pair of players who had a big impact on Neumann Regional Academy's prior game. Johnson posted eight points along with 11 boards and four blocks, while Tutler put up nine points and three steals. Those 11 rebounds gave Johnson a new career-high.

Even though they lost, Neumann Regional Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 12 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Neumann Regional Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Bucktail, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
