Soccer Recap: San Rafael Takes a Loss

San Rafael was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Archie Williams Peregrine Falcons. The Bulldogs were probably out for revenge after losing 2-0 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

San Rafael's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Archie Williams, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4-4 record this season.

San Rafael will head out to take on San Marin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. San Marin's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Archie Williams, they will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against Tamalpais at 3:15 p.m. Tamalpais is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.7 goals per game this season.
