Soccer Recap: Luella Takes a Loss

After soaring to nine goals the game before, Luella was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They fell just short of the Stone Mountain Pirates by a score of 2-1.

Luella has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. The win made it two in a row for Stone Mountain and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Luella will venture away from home to face off against North Clayton at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Luella is facing North Clayton at the right time seeing as North Clayton is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Stone Mountain, they will head out to challenge Douglass at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stone Mountain will be up against Douglass' rather soft defense (which has allowed 8.75 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
