Baseball Recap: Webster County Takes a Loss

Webster County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 7-0 to the Taylor County Vikings, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 on Friday.

Webster County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Taylor County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-4.

Webster County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Crawford County at 4:00 p.m. on March 25th. As for Taylor County, they will welcome Schley County at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Schley County's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Taylor County's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
