Softball Recap: Overland Has No Trouble Against Lincoln

Overland won against Kennedy on Tuesday with 15 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Trailblazers were the clear victors by a 15-3 margin over the Lincoln Lancers. The Trailblazers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.

Michaela Halton was excellent, firing off two home runs, four runs, and four RBI while going 4-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Malia Relford, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Overland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .690. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.

Overland now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Lincoln, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Overland will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Lancers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
