Evergreen Valley had won seven straight games and Aastha Bhagat did her part to make it eight on Thursday. The Evergreen Valley Cougars snuck past the Willow Glen Rams with a 50-44 win thanks in part to Bhagat, who posted 22 points along with six boards and five assists. The matchup was her fifth in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Rayleen Sandhu, who had four points. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.

Willow Glen lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Lucia Diaz, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. Sophia Diaz was another key player, going 6 of 9 on her way to 12 points and seven boards.

Evergreen Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.9 points per game. As for Willow Glen, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-6 record this season.

Evergreen Valley will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Leland at 7:00 p.m. Evergreen Valley is facing Leland at the right time seeing as Leland is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Willow Glen, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 46-43 loss against Prospect on the 25th.
