The Bucktail Bucks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Montgomery Red Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
On Tuesday, Bucktail came up short against Neumann Regional Academy and fell 55-48. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bucktail in their matchups with Neumann Regional Academy: they've now lost six in a row.
Meanwhile, Montgomery's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Muncy 53-16. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Montgomery has scored all season.
Bucktail's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Montgomery, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
Bucktail beat Montgomery 36-28 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Montgomery's Falin Reynolds, who scored 19 points.
