Basketball Recap: Thacher's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Thacher entered their match against Bishop Diego on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Thacher Toads fell 42-33 to the Bishop Diego Cardinals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Toads of the 40-28 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2023.

It was another big night for Jeisa Coronado, who posted 19 points for Bishop Diego. Jaymi Coronado was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Thacher's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-1. As for Bishop Diego, they pushed their record up to 4-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Thacher wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 78-22 defeat against St. Bonaventure on the 12th. Bishop Diego has also already played their next contest, a 33-27 victory against Cate on the 12th.
