Soccer Game Preview: Laguna Creek vs. Pleasant Grove

Laguna Creek is 0-3 against Pleasant Grove since December of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The Laguna Creek Cardinals will welcome the Pleasant Grove Eagles at 6:00 p.m.

It was a proper cat-fight when Laguna Creek duked it out with Franklin on Wednesday. Laguna Creek and Franklin finished up their contest with a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Pleasant Grove waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Thundering Herd a 2-0 shutout. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 139th, while the Thundering Herd are ranked 789th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cassandra Corona and Emma Buettner scored both of Pleasant Grove's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

With that draw, Laguna Creek's record moves to 7-5-6. As for Pleasant Grove, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3-2.
