After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Omaha Westside, Pius X was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Fremont Tigers. The victory continues a trend for the Thunderbolts in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.

Pius X not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Fremont between 15 and 16 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-16.

McKenzie Becker paced Pius X's offense, picking up eight kills. Becker were helped by Lauren Pearson and Ava Markowski, who contributed nine assists each. Whitney Mertens controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Pius X's win bumped their record up to 18-14. As for Fremont, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-11.

Pius X wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Elkhorn North on the 18th. As for Fremont, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Papillion-LaVista on the 18th.
