Kearny barely beat Weehawken the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Kardinals' pitcher stepped up to hand the Indians a 7-0 shutout on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Kardinals, who have now won 14 games by six runs or more so far this season.
Ismael Diaz was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Kevin Kinsley, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Kearny's win bumped their record up to 15-10. As for Weehawken, they dropped their record down to 13-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
