Recap: Silverado Hawks vs. Oak Hills Bulldogs
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rialto, the Silverado Hawks were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They secured a 45-39 W over Oak Hills. This was payback for Silverado, who suffered a 58-52 loss the last time these two teams met.
Elizabeth Udeze continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 18 points. That makes it ten consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Silverado's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Belinda Rincon, who scored nine points.
Silverado pushed their record up to 7-3 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points per game. As for Oak Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Silverado will head out on the road to face off against Riverside Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Riverside Prep focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 two weeks ago. As for Oak Hills, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Yucaipa at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Yucaipa has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests.
