Basketball Recap: Laton Triumphs

Kings Christian came into Tuesday's game looking for another win against Laton, but Gabriella Alvarado wouldn't allow it. The Laton Mustangs enjoyed a cozy 31-14 win over the Kings Christian Crusaders on Tuesday thanks to Alvarado, who went 5-for-12 en route to 13 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. That makes it ten consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Laton's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Heffley, who posted ten points and eight boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Laton's record is now 7-14. As for Kings Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Laton has already played their next contest, a 35-27 loss against Alpaugh on the 5th. As for Kings Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 51-24 defeat against Wonderful College Prep Academy on the 7th.
