Soccer Game Preview: Monroe vs. Forest Hills + How To Watch

The Monroe Redhawks are taking a road trip to square off against the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Monroe will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each matchup than the last.

Monroe had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the nine-goal drubbing they dealt Mount Pleasant on Monday. The Redhawks put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 10-1 win. Monroe haven't had any issues with Mount Pleasant recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Monroe hit Mount Pleasant with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jesus Quizapa-Sanchez (4), Keven Lopez-Ramirez (2), Yoseht Lopez (2), and Jesus Cortez-Lopez (2).

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Forest Hills and Central Academy of Technology & Arts, and Central Academy of Technology & Arts kept the tradition alive. The Yellow Jackets lost 6-1 to the Cougars two weeks ago.

Forest Hills' loss dropped their record down to 2-9-1. As for Monroe, their win bumped their record up to 8-5-4.

Everything went Monroe's way against Forest Hills when the teams last played back in September, as Monroe made off with a 6-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Redhawks since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
