Football Game Preview: Trinity Shamrocks vs. South Warren Spartans + How To Watch

The Trinity Shamrocks will challenge the South Warren Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Trinity comes in on seven and South Warren on 13.

Trinity is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past St. Xavier, posting a 50-7 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-7.

Meanwhile, South Warren faced Ryle in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Spartans enjoyed a cozy 36-20 victory over the Raiders.

Trinity better keep an eye on Kayden York. He was instrumental in South Warren's win, rushing for 228 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Those four rushing touchdowns gave York a new career-high.

South Warren was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 291 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

South Warren's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Drayson Moore, Jaquise Smith, and Cole Kuzma, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Trinity's record now sits at 12-2. As for South Warren, their record is now 13-0.
