Baseball Recap: Wrightstown Comes Up Short

Wrightstown made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Little Chute, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Tigers fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 3-1 on Monday. The Tigers have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Mason Vande Hey made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.

Wrightstown's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Little Chute, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-6.

Coming up, Wrightstown will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Algoma at 4:30 p.m. As for Little Chute, they will head out on the road to face off against Denmark at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Mustangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
