Basketball Recap: Williamsburg Picks Up Tenth Straight Win on the Road

Williamsburg extended their road winning streak to ten games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Leeanna Royer. The Williamsburg Blue Pirates simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Curwensville Golden Tide 97-19 thanks in part to Royer, who went 11 for 15 on her way to 25 points in addition to eight steals and six boards. That's the most steals she has posted since back in January.

Williamsburg's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Curwensville, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Williamsburg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 48-37 defeat against Bishop Guilfoyle on the 9th. As for Curwensville, they will square off against Juniata Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Curwensville is facing Juniata Valley at the right time seeing as Juniata Valley is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
