Basketball Recap: Northeastern Bobcats vs. Susquehannock Warriors
Northeastern was the 53-35 winner over Susquehannock when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Northeastern Bobcats opened the new year with a less-than-successful 45-33 defeat to the Susquehannock Warriors. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Northeastern's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Lauralye Kennedy, who posted 11 points, and Leah Himes, who had eight points.
Elena Snyder was her usual excellent self, going 5 of 10 on her way to 17 points in addition to six assists and five boards for Susquehannock. The contest was Snyder's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Johannah Bissett, who put up four points and six rebounds.
Northeastern's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Susquehannock, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.
Coincidentally, both will both be playing Dallastown the next time they take the court. Susquehannock will head out to face Dallastown at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Northeastern will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on January 10th.
