Last Tuesday, San Pasqual Valley didn't have too much trouble with San Luis at home as they won 36-21.
San Pasqual Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Daeja Villicana out in front who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. Villicana has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyla Emerson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
In what's become a running theme this season, Salome gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They blew past Bagdad, posting a 42-10 win on the road. Given Salome's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 136th, while Bagdad is ranked 294th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
San Pasqual Valley's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Salome, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
