Soccer Game Preview: Perry vs. Marshalltown

The Perry Bluejays will face off against the Marshalltown Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Perry will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each match than the last.

Perry is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Their defense stepped up to hand Prairie City-Monroe a 7-0 shutout on Thursday. Perry haven't had any issues with Prairie City-Monroe recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Marshalltown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 5-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Millard West.

Marshalltown's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Perry, they now have a winning record of 3-2-2.

Perry took their victory against Marshalltown when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 7-2 score. In that contest, the Bluejays amassed a halftime lead of 4-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
